The SSC social is delighted to advise that local resident, David Gill recently returned from expeditions in the Antartica, will be delivering a fascinating and interactive lecture titled ‘Close Encounters of the Dolphin Kind’ on Friday 23rd January at 7 for 7.30pm at SSC.
David is a truly remarkable man, a well travelled scientist and lecturer and he’ll give us a fascinating insight into the relationship between cetaceans (dolphins and whales) sailors and lovers of the sea! His talk will enable us to understand and protect these amazing creatures in their natural environment.
The lecture will be approximately 45 minutes long with a Q&A session at the end for the inquisitive amongst us!
The bar will be opened for drinks and will include coffee and tea if preferred. The charge for the talk is £3 for members and £6 for non-members – tickets can be booked online. A percentage will be gifted to The Sussex Dolphin Project who continue to do their vital work in protecting our precious dolphins!
