This weekend we will be using the new eTally system to sign on & off.
Don’t Panic!
We expect some hiccups, so please don’t get frustrated if you’re having problems….your race results will still be recorded, entered & published, even if you’re unable to sign on.
Here is how it will work:
– There is a tablet mounted on the wall in the lobby, between the changing rooms.
– Press ‘Tap’ to start.
– You will be asked to enter your sail number – please type it in – try ‘0’ if it doesn’t find you. If your sail number is shown as ‘0’ , please click ‘edit entry’& put your correct sail number in.
– You will then see your name & sail number – please select & follow the instructions.
What do you do if you need to change the class of boat, sail number or both?!
(Some members have ILCAS or Aeros & may decide to used a different rig)
The easiest & quickest way forward is to make another entry at Spring Morning Entry on your phone (not the tablet!)
What do you do if the system doesn’t find you? (Try entering a sail number of 0 first)
Please create an entry at Spring Morning Entry on your phone (not the tablet!)
Alternatively, find our Sailing Secretary (James, Supernova 1318) who will be lurking about to assist & will be able to add or edit your details for you.
Sign Off!
Don’t forget to sign off. Once on land, you can enter your sail number once again into the tablet.
You will be asked to declare that you sailed the course & followed the rules. If you didn’t finish, you can select DNF.
You will do this for each of the races that were scheduled.
The system will also send emails to all competitors – you can click the link in the email & sign on there – if you want to avoid the tablet.

Once you are on the entry list, you will also have a ‘Sailor Account’ created at https://sailevent.net/
You can go to this address & login with just your email address.
Once in, you can add a password if you like & also change your preferences eg. turn email & text notifications off.
(If you turn notifications off, you won’t receive alerts when there are changes to SIs).
You can also see all the events that you are entered into as well as view the official notice board.
