Rules around the Racetrack

A detailed look at the rules applicable, in the order met when in a race.

Please join us for a SSC start of the season get together online. Chris will take us through the rules we are likely to encounter from start to finish of a typical race at Shoreham. It deals with the rules that apply as a competitor goes out to race and proceeds around the course. Chris will be available to ask questions and help clarify any rules queries you may have.

BIO-Chris is a National Judge, a National Umpire and a National Race Officer of many years standing (previously International). He has umpired many high-level match racing events including the 31st and 32nd Americas Cups and sat on juries at World and Continental championships since the late 1980s. He is a member of the RYA Racing Rules Committee and the Editor of the RYA Case Book and the Regional Rules Adviser for the RYA London & South East Region (a volunteer position).
