Former Shoreham Sailing Club Treasurer and Honorary member Joe Mills died suddenly at last weekend – service details will be uploaded here when known.
Joe Mills was our treasurer during a particularly difficult spell during the 80’s and continued to visit the club regularly. He always took a keen interest in the progress of club and its members and was especially please when the recent refurbishment to changing areas was completed.
For those wishing to attend the funeral service it will be will be held on Wednesday 8th May at 3.20pm at Worthing Crematorium in Findon and after at 5 Errington Road, Shoreham.
Crematorium Directions – Approaching from the East, (i.e. Brighton), follow A27 towards Chichester. When you reach the Offington Corner roundabout, (Durrington Cemetery), take the A24 heading north towards Horsham. You are 3 miles from the Crematorium. After approximately 2½ miles you will reach Findon village. The Crematorium is signposted from here.
