Between January and March this winter, webbing used to tie down a catamaran was taken and the boat moved which has resulted in severe damage to the hull (see below) and the support rod for the spinnaker pole has been sheared off.
Whilst members leave their boats at their own risk, this boat was diligently secured with ratchet straps and checked in January.
We are fortunate that there are very few incidences like this within the club but it is very disappointing to receive this kind of news.
